As a Relevance Engineer at Digitec Galaxus, you work in a cross-functional Scrum team responsible for product retrieval & ranking on all our websites and apps. In the Team Nautilus, we independently design our roadmap and set ambitious goals for ourselves.
We research, measure, test, automate, release, tackle innovative projects together, and celebrate our successes as a team. We continuously learn together and strongly support you in your personal development. Your work helps over 4 million customers across Europe to quickly access the information they need to make purchasing decisions.
Tasks
- In Team Nautilus, you pursue the mission to make search "reliable, fast, comprehensive, relevant & desirable".
- Reliable: our services are available and don't crack down under high indexing & query load.
- Fast: we respond within the blink of an eye to even the broadest user query.
- Comprehensive: our search delivers results with a high degree of recall.
- Relevant: our search delivers results with a high degree of precision.
- Desirable: we make sure the most interesting products rank first.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in software development (Elasticsearch, C#.NET, Python, Azure, Kafka).
- Experience with information retrieval, ranking & relevance engineering.
- Solid analytical & logical skills (probability, statistics, A/B testing, ML fundamentals)
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering (ETH/UNI/FH).
