Having had a Micro Scooter for years, the Hodura is a brilliant replacement. It is build very strong and very comfortable to ride. I would say it is nearly on par with the Micro...more about the ""nearly" at the bottom.
It has huge wheels which makes the scooter a doodle over little bumps. It rides super smooth and the wheels/bearings last for ages with one little push...it seems to run for ages and ages.
The brakes are effective at stopping and the whole lever moves for better traction (my previous Micro Scooter had only a little button as a brake, which was difficult to find in emergency situation).
The foot rest is large and enough to place two feet on it. There isn't any flex in handling my full weight and hoping over kerbs/stones/lizards - strong steel beam design.
The handle bars are also great at it goes much higher than other big wheels scooters. This is great for very tall adults for an even more comfortable ride.
The overall build quality stand out as it feels sturdy and stable (a bit like riding in a tank!!).
I have given it only 4 stars because:
1) Of the weight. It is heavier than other big wheel scooter and I believe it is due to the folding mechanism & taller handle bar.
2) When folded, it clips well in place. However unlike the Micro, the front wheels do stick out a little bit more. So it is a little less "compact" when folded.
3) The strap is a good addition, but it is only attached (on the bottom) via a flimsy zip type connector. I doubt this would last the distance in terms of usage and seeing how heavy the scooter is, I don't think this will last for the life of the scooter. This also is a bit noisy as it rattles quite a bit while riding. I have removed mine completely.
But for the price of the scooter, build quality and ease of riding, the Hudora is still a super scooter. I would highly recommend it to any adults who (once in a while) want to feel like a child again!
