1440p 240hz Bliss

The Alienware 2721D is a slick 1440p monitor that looks great on the table. The RGB lighting in the stand adds a nice bit of bias lighting, however, you'll lose that if you use a VESA mount.

The difference between 60Hz
and 144Hz is noticeable, and I have enjoyed using a range of 144Hz monitors such as the LG 27GL850 and 34GN850. If I am honest, having only had the monitor for a few days, I cannot tell the difference between 144Hz and 240Hz. And while I miss having an ultra-wide screen, a 27" 1440p 144Hz+ monitor is a sweet spot for both productivity, leisure and price. Considering availability, this monitor ticks all the boxes.

As a G-Sync Ultimate monitor, there is apparently a fan included, however, I can't hear it at all. The included 3-year pickup warranty from Dell is also nice for peace of mind.

My monitor did not have any issues with dead or bright pixels and worked great out of the box. I always use the monitor in a bright room, so I don't have any issues with IPS glow.

Just bought a second AW2721D monitor with Black Friday sales, and the newer one's max height is about 1cm shorter than the one I bought in January. They must have modified the stand or something. The monitors themselves look identical. It is a minor concern.
