Upcycling – turning old into new

This very special wallet is made from recycled motorcycle tires. The pattern of the treads makes this wallet unique, as each one is individually crafted. The rubber tires are hand-shaved until the rubber layer is thin enough to be processed. Its size fits into any pocket while still offering plenty of storage space thanks to a generous interior layout. It features 1 ID window, 4 card slots, 2 hidden compartments, and 3 bill pockets. Inside the wallet, a luxurious black waterproof cotton fabric has been sewn in, along with our stylish “Upcycling by Bekos” patch.

The material is soft, very durable, waterproof, and long-lasting. Each product is handmade, making it a one-of-a-kind item. The appearance of the rubber material (tread) may vary slightly. Patterns are not selectable; it will be delivered based on availability.

All our products made from cement sacks, rice and fish feed bags, as well as vehicle tires, are produced under the FairTrade seal, in strict adherence to the 10 commandments. Certified by the World Fair Trade Organization and awarded by UNESCO. All accessories are designed by the villagers themselves and lovingly handcrafted. Each is unique, and the material cutouts may vary in design, as the bags are completely processed. The material with the fish motif was originally a fish feed bag and, in its second life, a rice bag before being transformed into these elegant accessories.
