MyProtein Maltodextrin

Maltodextrin is derived from corn starch and is an easily digestible form of carbohydrates. The name "maltodextrin" refers to dextrose polymers of varying lengths. However, unlike dextrose, maltodextrin does not taste very sweet. Maltodextrin is the main ingredient in all common weight gainers.

Maltodextrin is a fine, white powder with a neutral taste that mixes very well. When added to protein powders, it also enhances their mixability. Maltodextrin contains virtually no fat or protein and is an excellent and cost-effective source of energy. Technically, maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate, but it produces a blood sugar response comparable to that of dextrose.
