Product details

Chateau Vaugelas has been owned by the Bonfils family since 2000. The 150-hectare vineyards stretch from Mont Alaric to the Black Mountain. In addition to modern vinification facilities, the estate has two original wooden conical barrels of 80 hl, which allow for remarkable pressing. The barrel cellar contains over 400 barrels, with one-third being renewed each year. Since the 16th century, the Benedictines have planted vines on the estate, located in the fantastic region of d’Eboulis, which consists of rubble, gravel, and slate. The clay-limestone soils with deep blue marl form the foundation. This allows regional grape varieties to ripen into fantastic wines under the sunlight of Corbières. The Chateau Vaugelas Cuvée Prestige is a modern, varietal typical wine from southern France offered at an extremely attractive price.
