    Braun should optimize the quality and technology here. For years, there is (deliberately?) No improvement.

    Mach months of use as a long-time Braun customer, I can unfortunately not give the new shaver heads a good review. Switching to a lot of plastic, the shaving heads have clearly deteriorated. In addition, they are very difficult to clean; without a cleaning station, they practically do not get clean. Also, the small cleaning brush is defective in no time or loses the hair. 

    Pro

    • At the beginning very good shave (until about 1/2 year, then it gets worse every day).

    Contra

    • Very poor to clean; never gets really clean after 1 shave when tapped out.
    • Without cleaning station, which is also very expensive, the shaving heads hardly get really clean!
    • many parts made of plastic, which can quickly break when cleaning with brush.
    • frame made of slanted plastic, which slips off again and again when cleaning by hand
    • the aluminum coating slowly comes off at the edge of the frame after about 1 year.
    • 18 months, as promised by Braun on the package, hold the shaving heads in any case!
    • overall, the shaver heads are much too expensive due to the quality described above!
    • earlier, old metal shaver heads lasted much longer!
    • one has the feeling, this obsolescence is desired for purely financial considerations of the company!

    Not for all years

    I shave my beard twice a week and it lasts up to 6 months, after which it is no longer cut. This is not just my opinion. Others have the same problem.

    If you don't have a Braun Series 9 yet and you appreciate the brand, it's better to choose a machine from a series with a lower number (e.g. 5).

    Braun's shaver series 9 is of poorer quality than older series (in comparison: more plastic parts than before, quicker wear, significantly louder).

    Contra

    • Is no longer usable after 8-12 months (and disassembles)
    • Obvious: built-in obsolescence!
    • Price for the type of consumable therefore too high
