Product details
Ceramic grills (or Kamado grills) are made of ceramic. The term Kamado is derived from the Japanese word Mushikamado, which stands for a charcoal-fired ceramic container.
A Kamado grill is constructed in such a way that you can grill and smoke with it at low and also high temperatures. It combines the functions of a smoker grill with a smaller compact design. The thick ceramic walls store the heat very well. This enables an economical consumption of fuel. The air supply is regulated similar to the ball grill and ensures that the temperature is adjusted. The air supply and thus the temperature can be regulated amazingly precisely. The supply air is supplied and discharged via a valve in the base and the exhaust air via a valve in the lid. Even with very little charcoal, the temperature in the Saffire ceramic grill can be kept constant over several hours because the ceramic cover insulates and stores the heat so well. The low air circulation prevents the food from drying out.
