    A must for Victron charge controllers!

    When I bought an MPPT battery charge controller, I thought I could do without the measured values and bought the version without Bluetooth. I also bought the BMV700 display, which quickly shows the most important data via buttons.
    Now I have replaced the AGM battery with LIFEPO4 and didn't want to damage the expensive part with an incorrect charge curve.
    Victron has a good product line here and the matching app victronConnect - there is sample data for the app for all products, which makes the purchase decision easier.
    An automatic firmware update is also possible via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi.
    This means that an expensive LIFEPO4 battery from any manufacturer can be programmed with individual values. If you don't know how to do this, read the detailed (German!) instructions from Victron (well worth it).

    It works

    Plug it in, establish a connection, it works. You can only establish a connection with the Victron App, you cannot see the device in the Bluetooth menu of the iPhone / PC.
    You "only" get the current data, the device cannot     save any data.
