    Hands off !!

My RX20u stopped in the middle of the lawn after only 2 weeks of operation and was spinning in circles. It almost looked like when the lawn is a bit thicker the robot doesn't have enough power to cut. After returning it to the supplier for warranty, I received it back a week later. Nothing was done, only the charging head was changed. It worked again for 2 weeks, then it stopped again, turned in circles and did not cut anymore. Not enough power when the lawn is a bit higher (4 cm). My garden area is only 100 m2 , very flat and totally square.

So I returned the machine and showed a video of how the robot behaves. After a few days the supplier calls me and tells me that the robot has water damage. No warranty and they send it back to me unrepaired as scrap. HELLO, are you still there ??? This is a lawn robot and it has to stand outside in the rain!

The supplier refuses any guarantee. The device is 2 months old and scrap. I hope Galaxus will take care of it or else the only thing left to do is check out.

FAR AWAY from this machine. Buy a Husqvarna instead

    No buy recommendation

The mower has been in use for about 4 months, but I will no longer use it in the future. The lawn now has many bare spots because the mower often turns on the spot and causes damage due to its own weight and the rough profile of the wheels, from which the lawn does not recover. In my experience, not having a wheel on the front is not the best solution either. Robomow's tips are too general and useless.

    Contra

    • Poor mowing result
    • Lawn is damaged

I would not buy it again

The first unit came without an anti-theft device and could not be put into operation. It was exchanged without any problems after the receipt was sent. There was some back and forth between Galaxus and Robomow before that.
    The
second device works satisfactorily, but the operation inevitably requires a mobile phone with an app if it is to go beyond simple switching on. So if you want to programme a schedule, set the mowing time or define different starting points, you have to control the mower via the mobile phone.
This is exactly where the problem lies:
The app requires the Robomow to be registered, after which it is bound to this very mobile phone. My mobile phone was stolen last winter. I wanted to delete the mobile phone via my forced account on the web and then connect the mower to the new mobile phone - but that's not possible. You can't do anything via the web account, you only voluntarily give your data to the company.
So I called the telephone support and the first thing they wanted was the proof of purchase. They actually already have it, because the first unit had to be exchanged, but never mind. The support can then release the mower so that you can connect it to the app again - but they don't release the email address, so the connection attempt still fails. The only solution is to use a new email address. I had to find this out myself, unfortunately support has no idea. Nevertheless, the costs for the telephone call amounted to 20 CHF - the worst rip-off.

    Pro

    • Mows ok, with regular use 2-3 times a week you get a nice lawn
    • cheap

    Contra

    • Not as quiet as hoped
    • Weak engine, bumps or too long grass will cripple the mower
    • As soon as it is a bit damp, the wheels tend to spin
    • Control via app not fully developed
    • Support is very poor, telephone rip-offs
