    The somewhat different grill

    Nice grill, looks pretty spacy with the lid. He is actually hot within 5 minutes and you have during the heating phase virtually no smoke. However, it is not completely smoke-free. Possibly this is also due to the fact that I do not use the Lotus charcoal, but a cheap from the supermarket.

    The heat is naturally highest in the middle (i.e. on the metal plate, directly above the charcoal) and drops off relatively sharply towards the edge. You therefore not only have to turn the food, but also rotate it so that it is cooked evenly. By turning I mean: position the peripheral side of the food towards the centre. With the (optional, but just: actually necessary) lid this is much better.

    Cleaning is not as easy as with the small Lotus grill (which we also have), because the parts are quite a bit larger. But it still goes quite well, even in a normal average kitchen.

    Probably not a grill for aficionados. But perfect for us.

    Ventilation system failure

    Just after two years of careful and sparing use, and of course just after the warranty expired, one of the two fans stopped working.
    Very disappointing considering the purchase price.

    We think it's great!

    So we think it's great - it gets hot quickly, the grilling works very well and it also cools down quickly, which is also important if you do not want to leave the grill on the terrace all the time. And of course it looks very good - something different than the eternal black and dark gray grill stations.
    It's the perfect size for six people - you should be able to feed eight with no problem.
    We turn the fans down to low after the first grilling run and heat it up again for the second run in no time at all - very practical!
    What's missing: clearly, a hood and a cover. Also, it is not very easy to clean the grate and tray....
    Nevertheless, 5 stars becausener looks soooo good and does what he should.
