    Camera top, subscription flop

    You can't use it without an expensive monthly subscription!

    Frankly, after the first 2 minutes when you think it's great, you realise that without a monthly subscription it's totally unusable. Basic functions (such as recognition of the type of object detected, for example, or detection zones(!!!)) require a subscription! It's also worth noting that subscription prices have recently risen, so you'll have no choice but to follow suit...
    And what about data stored in a cloud unless you buy another gateway...
    Honestly, take a look at Reolink products or other brands... Most of them offer local storage...
    And frankly, Arlo's guarantee: "if we steal your camera, we'll replace it"... It's just a joke... For the price of the camera and the subscription, in a few months another camera is paid for and normally your insurance would cover this theft...

    • Requires a subscription for certain functions (object type recognition)
    • Data in the cloud. Local storage only with gateway to be purchased in addition
    • Closed environment (Synology / QNAP incompatible)
    • Expensive monthly subscription with no alternative
