When you unplug the device, the screen goes blank and when you press a button, the saved value appears. The instructions say that after 20 minutes the saved value disappears and goes to 0, but on my device the value always stays there even after days and you have to press reset and re-enter the kwh price. Do all your values go to 0.0 when you have unplugged and waited a while?

Mine doesn't work on its own either. I have to press the little reset button.

How long is the recording time? Specifically, we want to charge wallbox power from a 230V socket internally every 3 months for internal billing. Would that be possible?

I didn't buy the device for myself. As far as I have seen, you can set the kwh/price and as long as the device is plugged in and a consumer is connected, the device records. I'm not sure whether several recordings can be made, but apparently you can reset after a measurement. Hope that helps a little. :-)
