The GEL 100 CAF 100 contains 100 mg of caffeine – equivalent to 1.5 espressos or a cup of brewed coffee. This is significantly more than most traditional gels on the market. It provides 25 grams of carbohydrates in a unique blend of fructose and glucose (ratio 0.8:1), allowing for the absorption of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour. The gel is characterized by a high energy-to-weight ratio and contains no added flavors, preservatives, or colorings. And like all our products, it is suitable for vegans.

Use the GEL 100 CAF 100 during shorter exercise periods on its own or combine it with other Maurten products to ensure you have enough energy throughout your activity.

Carbohydrate intake: It is known that our body can utilize about 60 grams of ingested carbohydrates per hour in the form of glucose or maltodextrin. Using a 0.5:1 combination of fructose and glucose/maltodextrin allows for an intake of up to 90 grams per hour. Recent studies have shown that a higher fructose content of more than 0.5:1 enables even greater absorption. The GEL 100 CAF 100 is based on a fructose-to-glucose ratio of 0.8:1. One serving contains 25 grams of carbohydrates.
