The Brooks Ghost 17 is a running shoe for neutral runners that offers reliable cushioning and smooth transitions. The model features an engineered mesh upper that provides breathable support and adapts to the movement of the foot, complemented by a 3D Fit Print for structure without added weight. The midsole integrates DNA Loft v2 cushioning, a soft but responsive foam that balances comfort and energy return during the run. A segmented crashpad in the heel improves shock absorption and allows for a seamless transition from heel to forefoot. The outsole utilises durable rubber in high-wear areas for grip and durability, with flex grooves that allow for natural foot movement. The shoe has a 12mm drop and measures approximately 30.5cm in length in a US men's size 10, with a weight of approximately 295g per shoe in this size. The Ghost 17 retains the balanced running characteristics of the Ghost series and is suitable for daily training on roads and asphalt surfaces. A secure fit is achieved thanks to the padded tongue and heel collar, while reflective elements ensure visibility in low light conditions. This successor builds on previous versions with updated cushioning materials and refined upper construction.
