purchased this productGood, with many BUTs
Main reasons for the Wood's MDK21 compared to e.g. Kibernetik M20 was despite the high price:
- As soon as humidity level is reached, not only the compressor but also the fan stops; every hour the fan starts for 3min to circulate the air and dehumidify further if necessary (with other brands the fan always runs, only the compressor stops).
- Large tank (4l)
- According to data sheet relatively energy efficient
- According to data sheet relatively quiet
Does basically what it should, but many (negative) BUTs, which can be annoying (what's the point of the low mode when the fan goes to full throttle in the middle of the night during defrosting, for example?)
I even wrote to Wood's customer service who confirmed this defrosting behaviour: "It does like below to fasten the defrost program. It can not be changed..."Pro
- Basically does what it should (e.g. 32m2 living room + staircase in 6h from 70% to 60% at 18°C)
- Large water tank (4l)
- Air filter
- Compressor AND fan stops when humidity level is reached
- Smooth running wheels, reasonably usable handle
- Easy operation via illuminated touch buttons
Contra
- Due to construction, blower does not blow forwards but strongly sideways (~60°), flap practically useless
- Flap position is not saved - always fully open after switching on (e.g. after automatic pause)
- During regular automatic defrosting the fan changes to high (even at low level and in night mode)
- Loudness i.O. but for me also on Low too loud if device in the corridor and bedroom door not closed
- Humidity display in operation about 5-8% too low, but after Netatmo sensor on about -+2% correct
