Hello Grey_fox, certified HEPA filters must comply with a strict standard. Particles are filtered out or slowed down using various methods.
The expensive price is certainly justified, but how clean the air has to be is also very individual. Depending on allergies etc.
In other words, the answer cannot be yes or no, but depends on air quality and comfort.
