The Onda d series is made of stoneware with a reactive glaze. The glaze is applied entirely by hand, making each piece a unique piece that will adorn any table. In this process, various glazes and metal oxides are applied: after an initial firing at a low temperature, the ceramists apply metal oxides to the still porous material, depending on the desired end result. A further glaze with a different colour is then applied, allowing the colour of the metal oxides to stand out. The final colour and texture of the effect glaze depends on the firing temperature and duration as well as the thickness of the individual glazes and how they are applied.
