Your top picks: kettles

In winter, even die-hard cold water drinkers like myself start drinking tea. And what's more convenient than a kettle? That’s why I set off on a mission to unveil your ten favourite kettles.

I’m not a fan of coffee. I'm not a fan of coffee. I enjoy the smell of freshly brewed coffee beans on a Sunday morning and I also like ice cream with coffee flavour. But coffee itself just doesn't do it for me. Yet, as I enjoy a hot drink on a cold winter day (and I don't drink alcohol either), tea is my drink. And many of our users seem to enjoy a cup of tea, too: «Kettle» was one of the most popular search terms on our shop in the last there months. So I’ve trawled through our range of kettles and picked out the ten favourites of our Galaxus Community.

The versatile one

The CX 120 by Turmix includes a tea strainer. This allows you to fill in your tea before the water is boiling and let the tea brew while the water is heating up. Of course, you can also use the kettle without integrated strainer if you're not making tea. This is a true allrounder!

Heat up your water to any temperature between 25 and 100 degrees. Thanks to the built-in liquid-crystal display and a variety of buttons, you're able to set exactly the temperature you need. What I like: I've always wanted to know the difference between water that's 56 and 93 degrees warm.

The hipster

The old-school design of this kettle reminds me of the 50s. It's like a piece of jewellery from times long gone, which still seems to fit into every kitchen. Despite its retro look, you don't have to go without the latest technology: This electric kettle provides 2400 watts of power, a water capacity of 1.7 litres and a spout that prevents any mess when pouring.
