Wirtschaftliche Analyse Der Erzeugung Und Vermarktung Von Senf In Jammu

A study titled 'Economic Analysis of the Production and Marketing of Mustard in the Jammu District' was conducted. It aimed to investigate the problems faced by mustard farmers in the production and marketing within the study area. Among the various categories of farms, the gross returns were higher in medium-sized farms, followed by small farms and marginal farms. Two types of marketing channels for mustard were identified in the study area: Channel I (Producer-Village Trader-Processor) and Channel II (Producer-Processor). Farmers across the study area reported facing a lack of technical knowledge regarding the cultivation of this crop. A significant number of farmers are engaged in the cultivation of mustard, with a portion of the family income derived from this activity. To ensure smooth mustard cultivation, it is essential to provide farmers with the necessary inputs, including financing. This study leads to further detailed investigations of the aforementioned aspects, as there were some limitations to this study.
