The Palatinate language is full of peculiarities. Often humorous, sometimes coarse, almost always direct and always absolutely unmistakable, Palatine is spoken by around one million people who love their dialect, sometimes quarrel with it and unfortunately also forget it in parts. Since 2002, RHEINPFALZ-am-SONNTAG editor Michael Konrad has been on the trail of the secrets of Palatine together with his readers, and in doing so, he has always managed to whet their appetite for the dialect. He poses the question of the origin of Palatinate terms and idioms and lets the Palatinate people talk about their own language experiences and their memories of their parents or grandparents. In 258 episodes to date, almost all important and funny questions about the Palatinate dialect are discussed and usually answered: Do you know Hilbert, Retsch and Dibbelschisser?
