I use the watch as a pedometer, for notifications and as a music controller. The watch is paired with my Android smartphone Sony Z5 Compact. At the time of this review, I am using version 1.3.0 of the Connect app and Android 7.0.
The pedometer doesn't work as accurately as a fitness tracker (it's not one) and sometimes the hand takes up positions that can't be right. Ex: At 07:00 in the morning, 80% of the steps have already been taken, even though I haven't walked much yet. But a synchronisation with the app brings the pointer back into position. :-)
For incoming notifications, the watch vibrates at the same time as the phone and the hand in the small field moves to a colour range that can be defined in the Connect app. Only vibrating can also be configured. On Android, all installed apps can be selected and assigned a colour range.
The music control works very well, sometimes with a short delay, but otherwise flawlessly. It does not matter which app. Apart from Spotify and other music apps, Youtube or Plex can also be controlled.
I have only tested the sleep tracking so far and it seems to recognise sleep well. However, the watch is uncomfortable to sleep on. A gentle wake-up based on the sleep phase is not possible. For power naps, however, the silent alarm function is great!
I can't say anything about the battery life yet, I've only had the watch for a fortnight and according to the app it still has over 80% battery. Can your smartwatch do that too? ;-)
All in all, I like the watch very much, it's nice to look at and you don't miss any notifications, even when the mobile phone is muted.

All functions (vibrate on notification and display on watch) work perfectly on iPhone8. Unfortunately, the date is practically unreadable even in good lighting conditions (black model). In the photos, the date displays on the edge are much brighter than on the real watch.
