Hand-painted plate URSLI SLEEPING ON BELL from the collection SCHELLEN-URSLI by RHEINFELDER KERAMIK. Alois Carigiet (* August 30, 1902 Trun, Graubünden; † August 1, 1985 Trun) was known for his work as
a Swiss painter, draughtsman, lithographer and author of children's books. Three of his most famous picture book works are: "Schellenursli", "Der grosse Schnee" and "Flurina und das Wildvögelein". Especially the book "Schellenursli" written by Selina Chönz led to national fame. The Engadine reference to nature and landscape is omnipresent in the drawings of Alois Carigiet. The unique Carigiet paintings can be found in the Rheinfeld ceramic products. All products stand out as a special unicum with loving handicraft - just looking at this product line is a pleasure.
