purchased this productThe unit cuts perfectly, even with very small details. The operation is a little awkward.
I bought the ScanNCut mainly to make my own templates and stamps for textile printing.
The design templates that come with the machine are disappointing. I can't understand why someone would buy a machine for so much money to cut out such clumsy and ordinary pattern templates that any child could cut out with a pair of household scissors.
To test the device, I created my own templates in Photoshop with lots of small details and converted them in CanvasWorkspace. I deliberately cut out a very small figure from soft foil material, expecting the attempt to fail as some details were under 1mm in diameter.
I used the normal cutting blade.
Result: Whow!!! I had to weed some parts with the magnifying glass, that's how small the details were. But the ScanNcut cut everything perfectly.
I haven't tried thick materials yet - I'm curious to see what else I can get out of the machine.Pro
- Cuts perfectly even very small details.
- If you know how to use Illustrator and Photoshop, you have a lot of possibilities with this device.
Contra
- Design flounces are clumsy and boring
- Canvas Workspace software is very simple. The hardware can do more than the software allows.
- The accessories are disproportionately expensive

purchased this productGood but stingy
It's a good part but at this price I expect at least a foil to be included to try it out. Therefore one star less
Pro
- Scan
- Many accessories
- Also cuts fabric
Contra
- Not even a foil included
