Prominent authors from Kant to Kittler and from Freud to Foucault experimented with a new way of thinking about temporality: among the best-known of these projects are Sigmund Freud's'Archaeology of the Soul' (1896-1937), Walter Benjamin's'Archaeology of Modernity' (1928-1939), and of course Michel Foucault's Archaeology of Knowledge (1969).
