Description

In 1949 Peggy Guggenheim (1898-1979) settled in Venice and set up her art collection in the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Canale Grande. Stefan Moses visited them twice for several days: in 1969 and 1974, and almost all of the photos he took are still unpublished: It's his only color series. His new photo book shows the participants in two unusual ways: Peggy Guggenheim in her private life - and Stefan Moses as colour photographer. The result could hardly have been more attractive: One sees the collector among her paintings and sculptures; Stefan Moses accompanies her to the milkman and on journeys through the canals of the lagoon city. You meet Peggy Guggenheim sitting at the entrance of her museum, eating alone at a Spartan table or making friends, undetected by the visitors.more

Edition

In publishing, the term circulation refers to the number of an edition (first edition, reprint, etc.) and the number of copies of publications (books, magazines or newspapers, etc.) produced at once in a single printing process. If the presentation or the content of an edition differs from other editions of the same work, one also speaks of an "edition".

The calculation of an edition must be able to satisfy demand and at the same time must not be so high that too many copies are returned.
