DTS-HD Master

DTS-HD Master Audio is a lossless audio codec created by Digital Theater System. It was previously known as DTS++. It is an extension of DTS which, when played back on devices which do not support the Master Audio or High Resolution extension, degrades to a "core" track which is lossy. DTS-HD Master Audio is an optional audio format for Blu-ray Disc format exclusively. DTS-HD Master Audio has been steadily becoming the standard for Blu-ray lossless audio format.

DTS-HD Master

The abbreviation DTS-HD stands for "Digital Theater Systems High Definition" and refers to a digital audio format specially developed for Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. The codec supports 7.1 audio and in the master audio version (DTS-HD MA) delivers data rates of up to 18 Mbit/s on HD DVD and even 24 Mbit/s on Blu-ray disc and is backwards compatible with the conventional multi-channel sound system DTS.

The competitor format to DTS-HD MA is Dolby TrueHD - also a lossless audio codec for Blu-ray and HD DVD developed by Dolby Laboratories.

DTS:X

DTS:X is a new 3D audio format from DTS that has been reported on since late 2014. The new format will be in direct competition with Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D and will also function object-based. DTS:X also works with multiple speakers - including ceiling, front and rear high speakers. In addition, up-firing speakers, which can also be used for Dolby Atmos, can be used.

Dolby True HD

Dolby TrueHD is the latest 100% lossless audio codec from Dolby Laboratories. It was specially developed for the high-resolution media Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. Based on the MLP codec (Meridian Lossless Packing), which has also been used for DVD-Audio, it offers gripping sound in studio quality.

To achieve this high data rate as bitstream, AV receivers and Blu-ray or HD DVD players must be connected via an HDMI 1.3 port.

Ne sert pas à grand chose autant connecter sans ça

Gros décalage entre son et image en l’utilisant avec la TV. Possibilité de régler le décalage mais que dans 1 sens donc impossible de corriger le problème
