Typical Ubiquiti Unifi - fabulous price / performance ratio. Excellent product!

Am absolutely thrilled. Connected my existing wired AP-AC-Pro to the AP-AC-M-Pro mesh via wireless uplink. Did not expect the wireless uplink to perform so well. Feels like wired. I tested the AP as a wireless bridge to a SwisscomTV box and streamed video in 4K. Works without stuttering or other problems.

Important: First connect the AP via network cable to the LAN and load the latest firmware via Unifi Cotroller on the AP. Via wireless uplink, adapting the APs did not work for me with the firmware version that was on the AP. I had to do a factory reset and connect the AP with the cable and do the firmware upgrade. After that, everything worked within a minute.

    Pro

    • Easy integration with Unifi Controller
    • Wireless uplink to AP-AC-Pro works great
    • Additional latency compared to hardwired APs is hardly noticeable
    • Roaming between AP-AC-Pro and AP-AC-M-Pro mesh works perfectly (e.g. with Skype)
    • Range is very good outdoors even in the 5GHz band (801.11AC)
    • Workmanship is excellent for an outdoor device in this price range

    Contra

    • Firmware must first be updated via LAN connection

    Good device for outdoor use.

Always had very poor wifi in my workshop in the outbuilding. Thanks to mounting the MESH Pro on the outside wall of the main building, everything works fine now! The MESH Pro is comparable to the UniFi AC Pro's, except that the MESH Pro is designed for outdoor use.
The signal strength is about identical.
The housing makes a very stable impression and should also be able to withstand a lot according to the manufacturer...
Brackets for ceiling / wall and rod mounting are included (including nuts and bolts).
As you already know from the Ubiquiti products, everything is quickly set via the configuration interface.

    • Weatherproof
    • For outdoor use
