    A must for smart homes!

The Nuki lock is quick to install but you should keep 2 3 things in mind!
    1. i recommend to buy a lock cylinder with "priority" (if you don't have one). This means: you should have a lock that can be opened from the outside,
even if a key is inserted on the other side. If the Nuki doesn't react, in the worst case you won't be able to get in with your key! Therefore you should definitely use a lock cylinder with "priority"!
I ordered my cylinder directly from KABA. Costs 100-200!
2 A bridge is not necessary but recommended! This is purely a matter of "convenience".
With the bridge you can control your lock via the Internet, i.e. if you have a visitor and are not yet at home, you can still open the door for your visitor! Without the bridge this is not possible. Also, without the bridge you might have to wait a short time until the door opens because the connection via Bluetooth takes a little time (like with a car). With the Bridge Nuki detects you via Geo-Fence and prepares the lock for your arrival and as soon as you are in range of the Bluetooth the door unlocks.
    3. please please! Even if everything works smoothly, don't forget that every technology has its failures! Always take your key with you, even if you theoretically no longer need it!

Installing the Nuki on the door lock is child's play! The fine-tuning in the app should be looked at very carefully as some options are well hidden. The lock also fulfils its purpose and does a clean job. I think the app could be a bit more manageable. The bridge is also not displayed in the app if it has been successfully installed.

-If you have to buy a cylinder with priority, order a new one with a key! This way you can take your Nuki and your cylinder with you when you move.

A MUST for a smart home nerd

We have been using it for a year and it works perfectly!

I installed the first Nuki about a year ago. It never had any real problems. But it was a bit slow at the beginning and the connection with the bridge was sometimes awkward. Since then, it has received many firmware updates and now runs smoothly. Of all the smarthome stuff I have already installed in our house, the Nuki lock is by far the best. There's simply nothing better than having the front door open when you're standing in front of it with a nine-pack of mineral water.

I just ordered a second lock for the back entrance - especially because it now also works with Google Home. It's been working with Alexa for a while now. Apart from that, it is also integrated with IFTTT (but Alexa, Google Home, IFTTT etc need the bridge).

    Keep your hands off Nuki

Keep your hands off the Nuki Smart Lock, or Nuki in general. The motor in the Nuki Smart Lock is not suitable for a longer operation or use. Already during my warranty period, the motor of the Nuki Smart Lock broke down after only a few months. Since the Smart Lock was still under warranty, it was replaced free of charge. Now after a little more than two years exactly the same problem. The Nuki Smart Lock motor has broken down again and this shortly after the warranty period. Now they want to sell me a new Nuki Smart Lock with a reduction of 40%. What is this shit. Nuki brought a product to the market that is not usable for a long time and now they want to sell me a new Nuki Smart Lock with a 40% reduction? Fuck you all. I wrote to the support and got only 0815 answers. Simply shameful. After that I complained to the executive board. No one from these non-users ever got in touch, nor did they apologise for this crappy product. Even after several e-mails, no one got back to me. That's what I call a failed customer service. They know exactly about the problem, just don't want to fix it and the customers have to pay for their failure. Never again Nuki.
