Incredibly practical Smatwatch!
It is always with you and records all relevant data. It is also an unobtrusive reminder of appointments and looks great on the wrist in analogue display mode!

After investing a lot of time in choosing the right sports watch, I decided on the Fitbit Surge and am mostly happy with the decision.
General:
- The watch looks comparatively good, but it is not as elegant as in the pictures. It's also a bit clunky for women.
- Very comfortable to wear, the watch sits comfortably and is not annoying (neither in everyday life nor during sports).
Smartphone app:
Before Fitbit Surge, I used the Jawbone UP24 to get started. Hence my comparison of the two apps
+ The connection between the watch and the smartphone is more stable than with the Jawbone.
- The display is more confusing, you have to navigate a lot more to get a good overview.
- The sleep analysis is much more meagre; if this function is important to you, then Fitbit is not a good choice in my opinion.
- I especially miss the tips and messages on the main screen of the UP app.
Functionalities:
The handling is generally simple and intuitive and the touchscreen works great.
ALARM: does not work for me. The device vibrates at a defined time, but not enough to wake me up.
PULSE MEASURER: Seems accurate and works fine both in idle mode and during sports (surprisingly, even during kickboxing).
--> I especially appreciate the graph of this in the app as well as the indication of the duration of peek cardio and fat burning frequencies during exercise.
STEP COUNTER: data in similar range as with Jawbone, results seem plausible
CALORIE CONSUMPTION: also seems plausible, the display in training mode can possibly be motivating
In summary, I would recommend the Fitbit Surge at any time, with the exception of sleep analysis and deficits in the app, I am completely satisfied.
