    Fair but not particularly good.

I am a convinced user of a Fairphone and have also bought one for my wife.

But if it wasn't important to me to have a fair phone, then I would definitely leave it alone. Too many teething problems. Regularly hangs up.
The screen sometimes doesn't work when I'm on the phone, etc.

I dropped my phone once and the screen was replaced within 1 minute. (ok... 100 francs were also gone).

Good cause that I would support but I don't know if I would rather just donate money next time and buy an unfair phone.

Nice idea - which one regrets after half a year

I had pre-ordered the Fairphone 2 at the time and was initially convinced and happy. After 1.5 years, however, I have to say that even my great tolerance came to an end at some point. One problem after the other, which was always fixed (under warranty you get parts for free), but was very frustrating. I always had software problems, which then disappeared with an update and were exchanged for new ones.
It's a shame - even though there have certainly been some improvements now, I wouldn't buy this phone again. I also hear similar things - with the good reviews, I would wonder how long they have been using the phone.

    Poor price/performance ratio

Fairphone is a good idea in itself. I am convinced that the people behind it put their heart and soul into it and strive to sell a good and solid phone. Unfortunately, this has not (yet) succeeded with the second version of the Fairphone.

I had countless problems. Besides the multiple reboots per day, which other reviewers here have also criticised, I had problems with:
    - the proximity sensor: the sensor that locks the screen when making a call
    - the battery level indicator: Wasn't reliable, or showed wrong percentage values.
    - Display: random inputs, dead areas

Besides that, it really has to be said that both the camera and the speaker are very poor. Of course, this can be read from the specifications, but I was still surprised at how quiet the speaker is and what poor pictures the camera takes.

All in all, not really a fair product for the buyer.
I have now switched to another smartphone after 16 months and the Fairphone is gathering dust at home.... What a pity!
