I actually only bought the Smart Keyboard as a backup until my Logitech Slim Combo was available.
The nice thing about it compared to Logi is the weight. It's really nicely solved.
But everything else annoyed me. It started when unfolding and setting it up. Maybe I'm too stupid, but I never got it right the first time. The fixed angle is no big deal, it was the same with my old Logi Keyboard Type+ for the old Air 2. On the other hand, a backlight would have been nice.
But what bothers me most is the side with the felt, which is supposed to protect the display when the keyboard is closed. It's well-intentioned, but it's exactly this felt side that lies on the (dirty) table when the keyboard is open. If the table is not perfectly clean, and there are a few small grains of sand, then they "stick" to it, and if you are not careful, the display gets scratched. Logitech has clearly solved this better.

The keyboard itself is great, the strokes are pleasant.
The reason for the poor rating is that the keyboard is unreliable. I often set up the iPad, want to write on it and then it doesn't work! Happens two times out of ten. If this was an inexpensive third party product it would be different. But this is a high-priced Apple product that is just unreliable.
I was told in the shop that this could happen from time to time, just 'clean' the converters, but this does not help at all.
It's a pain when you're in a meeting or a lecture and you're supposed to take everything down, and then you're standing there and feel like an idiot because the 179 franc keyboard has left you stranded again.

flip flop zig zag doesn't really work. i would expect it to be possible to flip the keyboard open quickly. here you have to solve a puzzle every time. flip, flip, and flip, unstick back.... very bad design solution
it's complicated and you can't adjust the angle
strangely expensive
