I already had the 12.9 version and now I bought the new one with 256GB storage in silver and with LTE. The big iPad Pro is a wonderful device, but it doesn't replace a laptop for me. As a vocational teacher, I use the drawing function a lot. I can use it to create sketches or even fill out PDF forms by hand. The Pencil is absolutely accurate. You can work with it not only to the nearest millimetre, but to a fraction of a millimetre. Apart from the smooth surface, I no longer notice any difference to writing with a biro or, depending on the setting, a coloured pencil or fountain pen. I can print out the sketches and PDF forms immediately and distribute them in class. Simply great. It doesn't replace a laptop for me because the Office options are too limited. But if you have the option of working with other office software instead of MS Office, you can really use the iPad Pro to its full potential. As an Apple device, it is of course easy to integrate into the "Apple universe", but because iOS also allows you to interact with other cloud services and even OneDrive is very usable, you can also work well with Windows and Linux devices. Personally, I use all my devices together with a NAS and calendars, addresses, notes work without iCloud and I also have my own cloud on the NAS, so I don't really need icloud any more. So if you buy an Ipad Pro, you can use everything, even if there are reservations about Apple.
I sometimes listen to music in addition to office work. I also use the ipad Pro for that. With the four speakers, the music sounds amazingly good.
I use a Create from Logitech as my keyboard. It has backlighting and is more stable. So I can also work on the train, for example.
Progress of the new iPad Pro
- The screen with the Trueton display is amazing.
- Image editing is smoother because of the new processor.

I basically only use it for web-surfing, reading (books and PDFs) and some drawing for fun, and for those kind of situations the big iPad Pro really works well.
Could be a hassle to carry it around...And probably worth pointing out again, this is NOT a laptop replacement (for productivity applications).
