I have to save the honour of the little boxes.

1 Anyone expecting two full-blown linear studio monitors for $127 will of course be disappointed.
    2. anyone expecting a deep bass for 3" will of course also be disappointed.
    3)
If you're looking for decent speakers for your desk but don't want to clutter it up with speakers, you'll be happy here.
    4. please connect to a decent audio card. If possible via Jack. The difference to the headphone output is striking!

They are tricky when it comes to placement. The "sweet spot" is rather small and the bass also depends strongly on the distance to the walls. (as with all bass reflex speakers with a hole to the rear).

They tend to do better with sounds that are not dead-compressed than, say, Daft Punk or Siriusmo. But it depends. Everything that doesn't live on low bass sounds decent in my opinion. Within the bounds of what you can expect at this price.

I haven't tried the USB interface yet. I have an M-Audio Delta66 here (connected via Jack).

It's more bad than good. No decent bass, no decent treble, so really just bad. Not recommendable. The only positive thing is the good workmanship, but that doesn't really help if the sound that comes out is so shitty.
