This upgrade is not really worth it (approx. 10-17% more effective performance in all applications), especially since you also need a new mainboard (Z390 chipset/mainboard). To justify an update, I would rather consider a combination of these two products: Intel Core i5-12600K (LGA 1700, 3.70 GHz, 10 -Core) (Around 30% more effective performance). MSI Pro Z690- Wifi D4 (LGA 1700, Intel Z690 (DDR4), ATX) or ASUS TUF GAMING B660-PLUS D4 (LGA 1700, Intel B660, ATX) Unfortunately, the i7-7700k throttles the RTX 3070 Ti rather strongly (according to information, approx. 40% bottleneck, i.e. very high). With the i7-9700 we would still be at just under 30%. With the i5-12600K, on the other hand, we are at about 3%, which uses the full potential of both components. Alternatively, you could of course wait for the 13th generation from Intel, but it will be a lot more expensive, so the approx. 550 CHF from one of these combinations.

Did you perform a BIOS update? On some boards with a 300 chipset, you have to update the BIOS before the CPU is recognised correctly. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z390-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC/support#bios
