It fits, but I have to be honest, I wouldn't recommend it. I tested the grip several times and found that the battery time of the 2 batteries via the grip did not last much longer than with the one good Canon battery directly in the camera. For longer shooting times, an external V-mount battery is worthwhile.

We had the same problem. As far as I know, Sony batteries of the type NP-F570 fit in it. Answered belatedly, but I hope it still helps one or the other.
