Attention discontinued model as I understand ,do not confuse with the successor with the(R) at the end I almost ordered it by mistake and thought is the new model. Asus has added the ROG Strix XG32VQR to its portfolio. The monitor is an update of the ROG Strix XG32VQ, which uses a stronger backlight with up to 450 cd/m². Accordingly, the display supports the VESA standard Display HDR 400 and meets AMD's requirements for Freesync 2 HDR.

Is this monitor also suitable for the Pro? A colleague said that a 1080 or 4K would be better for the Pro because of the scaling. Apparently the picture looked blurry. Thanks for the feedback.

Your colleague is basically right. The PS4 Pro does not have an option to output a 2560x1440 resolution. Furthermore, you cannot benefit from the 144Hz. So in principle not optimal and basically an overkill.

PS: If you effectively only intend to use a PS4 Pro with a display, I recommend a 4K TV, which usually also support HDR.

Yes, I think you can, but the 4k won't do you any good. You only have a 2k resolution. Unless you scale it up with Nvidia, which is not always recommended.
