The operating system will not be the problem, but the available graphics unit. Most current graphics chips support at least simple 4K playback. High dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of digital techniques that allow for a large dynamic range in an image. Its interest is to be able to represent or memorise many levels of light intensity in an image. This technique is carried out by allowing more values to be assigned to a single pixel. First developed for computer-generated images, the technique was later adapted to digital photography.
