LRDIMM memories are recommended when large memory capacities are to be achieved. RDIMM and RDIMM 3DS memory modules cannot be operated mixed together with LRDIMM and LRDIMM 3DS RAM. If a memory expansion is to be made with the already existing RAM memories, it must be checked which basic memory technology (RDIMM / LRDIMM) is available. When using a multiprocessor system, the memory slots should always be populated identically for each CPU. Memory slots for which no processor is present must not be populated. If memory modules are offered with higher clock rates than specified by the system, the memory clock automatically adjusts to the system specifications.
