Up to 63 NX I/O devices can be connected to one EtherCAT coupling unit. Standard and high performance couplers can be used mixed. Remote I/O control at high speed is possible with highest communication clock of 125 μs. Each coupler including its associated I/O form a single EtherCat node in the network. I/O control and safety control can be integrated for safety purposes by connecting units. The coupler supports EtherCAT Distributed Clock (DC) and forwards this to synchronous I/O units. The node address can be set by rotary switch or by software. Choose the method that best suits your way of working. Slave configuration via SYSMAC Studio can be done centrally via the controller or on site using the USB port integrated in the coupler.
