The Keychron Q2 is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard with a compact layout that takes the typing experience to the next level. With a 65% layout, full metal case, and double-gasket design, the Q2
is built for a customized experience and premium typing comfort. Hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the board, allowing switches to be installed or changed without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches. The screw-in design of the PCB stabilizers increases stability and facilitates changes and upgrades. Precise workmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less wobbly. The typing experience with the big keys (spacebar, shift, enter, delete) is more stable and smooth as a result.
The south-facing RGB LEDs are designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist's point of view when high-quality, non-translucent PBT keycaps are installed. This also keeps the RGB lighting free from interference when alternative Cherry keycaps are installed. Full QMK and VIA support makes it easy to program and remap every key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware offers endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, even the knob and more. An ultra-low power ARM Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 MCU with high performance and 128K flash gives developers more flexibility in the process. The Keychron Q2 was also designed with Mac users' experience in mind while maintaining compatibility with Windows devices. It is equipped with a system switcher on the side. This allows two different layouts to be stored on the keyboard, one for each system.
