When should I order for my parcel to arrive in time for Christmas?

Christmas is the time of buying presents for your loved ones. We deliver orders quickly, but there are limits to everything. We’ve asked our colleagues in the warehouse in Wohlen when you need to place your order at the latest if you want it to arrive in time for Christmas.

First things first: This is no guarantee that things will turn out exactly as planned. Christmas is an exceptionally busy time for us. We hire a large number of additional helpers in Wohlen for this time of year. Our company tradition even has employees from other departments step in and help out in the warehouse to make sure that your order arrives on time. However, it may occur that certain orders are not delivered in time for multiple reasons. If you want to be on the safe side, don't wait until the very last moment to order gifts.

We’ve asked our colleagues in the warehouse in Wohlen. when you need to place your order at the latest if you want it to arrive in time for Christmas. Thomas Amhof, Supply Chain Manager in Wohlen, gave us the following answer: «For post deliveries to your home address, our official recommendation is to place your order on Thursday 20 December at 5 p.m. at the latest.» These orders are expected to arrive at your home on Friday 21 December. Or on Monday, 24 December at the very latest.

«Most products that are ordered on Friday, 21.12. will arrive on Saturday, 22.12. But all it takes is a hiccup with us or at Swiss Post and our customers won’t receive their order in time for Christmas. Please keep in mind that this only applies to products that are available from our warehouse and can be sent by letter or parcel post. Cargo deliveries take longer, as a delivery date needs to be arranged.»

Cargo deliveries? That’s anything that’s bulky, large, heavy and needs to be delivered on pallets.

Your last chance

For last-minute shoppers, here’s some hope: For pick-up in one of our stores, you need to place your order on Monday, 24 December at the latest. This only applies to deliverable products that weigh less than 30 kg. If you’re leaving it that late, every minute counts and each store has different deadlines:

  • Geneva: 4:45 a.m.
  • Lausanne: 4:45 a.m.
  • Zurich: 5:15 a.m.
  • Bern: 5:30 a.m.
