I have two setups, iMac 27" with the monitor connected using a USB-C to DisplayPort, works great.
MacbookPro connected using the Satechi (LMP USB-C mini Dock 8-port (HDMI, USB 3.0, USB Typ-C, LAN/RJ45)) and the monitor conected wity HDMI. They both work great.

Hi yes you can, by using a specific USB-C to HDMI cable like the following (which allows 4k 60Hz) :
Delock USB-C - HDMI Kabel, 1m (1m, Black)
