I bought this new Synology. This one is once again top. Super easy to set up. It used to take several hours to set it up. Now it takes less than an hour and you have one of the best if not the best NAS for normal consumers.

purchased this productMy first NAS and I was not disappointed!
The DS218+ is in the basement next to my Swisscom box. The internal hard disks serve as a backup. Two "old" external USB hard disks are shared from the NAS to the network via the USB ports on the back. Thanks to Docker, a Teamspeak server and a document management software (ecoDMS) also run on the NAS. If you plan to use Docker or VMs, however, you should expand the RAM - preferably directly to 10GB (+8GB), as VMs and Docker very quickly need a lot of memory. As a pure network data grave, it's almost too bad!
