The unit would fit better in a new stereo tower from Pioneer than in an older "thrown together" system. Again, an additional remote control because of the mix of manufacturers.
The unit itself is tip-top, so all 5 stars.

Luckily, a CD drive was installed which reads the discs quite quickly. Normally, modern players have a pointless DVD drive that reacts sluggishly/slowly.
All my CDs are read and played perfectly. Even old CDs that I burnt myself on the PC with "Nero" work perfectly.
The long (23 cm!), slim remote control is really stupidly designed. Very high, very small buttons and lots of empty space in between. Extremely unwieldy. But because you only need the remote control a little with a CD player, that's no bad thing.
The switch-off button only switches the device to standby (0.2 watts). A complete switch-off is only possible via a power strip, for example.
Because my 30-year-old Denon DCD-755AR CD player unfortunately gave up the ghost, I had to get a new one. I would have bought the Denon again in a heartbeat, it was perfect in every respect.
