Robust, fast and affordable USB 3.0 SSD

Only works stably with the Raspberry Pi 4 if the USB Attached SCSI (UAS) driver is deactivated. Then usb_storage is used and it works quickly and without errors. To do this, the following text must be added to the front of /boot/cmdline.txt: usb-storage.quirks=125f:a88a:u

Raspberry Pi USB SSD + This => nogo

Wanted to use this thing as a simple RPi4 speedup, unfortunately it doesn't work at all.

I assume the USB3 controller is sub-standard - i.e. junk. This would also explain the disappointing speed experiences of some other
    reviewers.

    Pro

    • badblocks found no errors

    Contra

    • RPi4 has massive problems
    • Speed

Fast transfer up to 8GB, then 25MB/s

after approx. 8GB of exFat writing, the transfer rate drops from 280MB/S to 25 MB/s
after approx. 40GB of NTFS writing, the transfer rate drops from 280MB/s to 17 MB/s.
not usable for me. With 120GB, it takes longer than
    with a normal HD.

    Pro

    • favourable.
    • cool design

    Contra

    • Only useful for small transfers
