Declutter, refurbish, paint, decorate: Get your project done this winter
No need to procrastinate until spring or even summer. Finish that long overdue project this winter! No matter what you were planning – decluttering and redesigning the cellar, giving your walls and furniture a lick of paint or revamping your workshop. With the help of the tips below, you can accomplish all of these things in winter.
It’s cold and miserable outside and that time of year when darkness creeps in way too early. Understandably, DIY is probably the last thing on your mind. But look at it this way: if you don’t feel like going outside, why not start tinkering at home? Your walls and furniture could do with a lick of paint, the cellar is dying to be tidied and refurbished and your workshop would love to welcome some new tools. I’ve put together a few products that will help you complete your project this winter.
Arrrgh! If your cellar looks like this, it’s time for action.
Tidying and refurbishing the cellar
Taking a look at the cellar, it seems that you have accumulated an impressive amount of stuff over the course of last year. Now every last corner is chock-a-block. This is your chance to declutter, tidy and refurbish. Clear out your cellar completely, chuck or recycle everything you don’t need, give the whole cellar a thorough clean and organise your things before putting them all back. Put up shelves, cupboards and other storage space that help you find things more easily. It’s just more fun when everything is neatly organised.
