Better late than never – Intel 11. Gen processors

With higher IPC values and fewer cores, Intel is entering the 11th generation. And declaring war on the Ryzen family. The Rocket Lake processors are officially launching today. Find out all you need to know about the new CPUs here.

Just under a year after the launch of Intel's Comet Lake series, the new 11th generation processors are released under the code name Rocket Lake. Thanks to the new Cypress Cove architecture, Intel can remove two cores and nevertheless promise higher clock rates with better IPC values. The new lineup is slimmer without a Core-i3, supports DDR4-3200 RAM and scores with PCI-E 4.0. You can find out what the eleventh Intel generation has to offer in this article by my colleague Kevin:

As usual from Intel, there's the K-/KF-/F-/T- and the normal version – however, the low-energy T- version is only sold by us on request. In the table below, you can see how the variants differ:

Availability of the chips

If you're following the situation surrounding CPUs, GPUs and the like, you'll know that semiconductors are currently in short supply. Intel is also affected by this. Although there are a few models available in the store at launch, they will probably be sold out very quickly. The bottleneck will most likely last throughout Q2. At least.

I've always loved building computers. In the past, as big as possible and covered in LEDs – today, small and quiet. SFF for the win.
